Spring has arrived

Tears drop upon the earth

and slide down the grass as they fall.

Sorrows that lay cocooned inside

take comfort from the strength of mother nature’s solid embrace.

Lying cradled in the earth they wait.

Patience must be called upon to endure this frosty winter.

And as doubts wriggle like worms in the soil,

small, almost imperceptible movements occur.

Leaves unfurl and whisper in the crisp wind above.

The sun stretches its rays

and lays them like a soothing hand

on the heads of all that lie beneath.

It smiles a big yellow smile.

Birds yawn in their nests

and burst into song,

expressing joy as sweet and pure as nectar.

Spring has arrived.
